I finally got my wings recovered, painted, installed, and signed off. :-) It flies like a pig now. It was getting late and we guessed at the proper rigging. As soon as the wx gets better I'm going to make a proper rigging check and get it flying right. No I should say flying straight--it flies right as it is now--as soon as you let go of the wheel off it goes in a right turn. <G> One sour note. I ordered a couple of rod ends from Lee at Skyport. I had him throw in a new landing light bulb so my new wings would start out with a fresh bulb. I ordered the quartz bulb and expected to pay around 25-30 bucks which is what most everyone else charges. Well he charged me $50.00 and the *%$&(^& bulb was DOA!!! Bah Humbug. Now I have pretty wings nice insignia yellow with the pre WW II stars and a very ugly rest of everything. Especially since I've been experimenting with different type paint removers to see what's easy.
