Actually, the AOPA service provides the same. I just
used it before following up and purchasing N94821. Got
all the paper work going back to the first owner. They
even called me to verify if I wanted all the 337's
because they would have to charge extra for
reproducing all 57 (most associated with the major
restoration--over an inch thick stack). The AOPA
office that does this service is across the street
from the FAA records center in Oklahoma. They have
access to the FAA records center and when they receive
your order, they walk across the street, gather
everything up, and send it out to you. All this before
the feds finish their 8th cup of coffee! But, as I
said, you do pay for the quick service. If you need
the info to evaluate a purchase, 4-6 weeks might be
too long if other buyers are in the game.
