All you California Coupers should be getting ready for Columbia this coming weekend. We are planning a couple of dinners and visits to the park, and other good stuff. I will be camping out on-field, if any of you wish to join me the more the merrier. I will be leaving Apple Valley about 10:00ish on Friday and arriving at Columbia about 2:00ish. We are hoping on having a good turnout this year since we moved the Fly-in from September to July to hopefully eliminate the rain we have been plagued with the last couple years. We are planning a dinner of sorts for all who get their before saaaayyyyy 5:00ish on Friday and then another on Saturday night . Come and get it before Maynard does. Columbia is an uncontrolled field about 35 miles NE of Modesto in the Sierra foothills. They have fuel and maintenance on field. They have a 4700' paved runway and a grass strip with camping at the intersection of the runways. Camping has showers, and improved campsights. A motel is within walking distance from the field as are two restaurants. Come on up/down/over and join us. Lets talk Coupes and see what you got.
