----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- Hi Group; I've a problem---As 99621 is getting very close to paint time and the final past gliches are worked out, one more reared it's ugly head. In cleaning the entire fuel system, including a new fuel pump, finally got down to the carb (Stromberg) cleaning. After a bear of a time getting the brass plug out of the float bowl base (probably hasn't been out in 50 years), the plug decided to take out most of the threads from the float bowl base. there's less than half a turn remaining threads in the bowl base and there's no way that's accepable. Here's my plea to you fellow Coupers. Anyone out there have a damaged Stromberg carb that still has the float bowl in tact. 99621 has the C85 conversion so venturi and needles can be switched over. I'm more then happy to cover any reasonable costs. Thanks JoeC Zion, IL ==^================================================================
