I realize this isn't the place for political discussion, but I had to comment on you statement below. The "Good old USA"? I know of no country that the "Good Old USA" has been interfering with at any time that could possibly make the Events of Sept 11 anything other than an atrocity. Sure Americans sometimes come across as arrogant to some cultures. But we are also the most generous, tolerant and open culture I have ever seen. This is exactly the opposite of most all of the countries that we are now in conflict with. They are all typically closed societies, intolerant of opposing thought to the point of stoning or shooting in the head their own citizens that don't follow their religion based rules to the letter. To date, the "Good old USA" has ignored this as long as it wasn't brought here. But that isn't enough for these people. They see us as the "Great Satan". If that's what they are thought as children and think as adults, we have to realize and appreciate it. Their solution is to eliminate us however possible. Since we are a little bigger and more powerful than they are, they are finding this difficult. But keep this in mind. They are intolerant of the way you and I conduct our everyday lives. They don't like it. This isn't just about our support for Israel. We may or may not like them all that much either, but so far, we have let them be. We have NOT interfered with how they live their lives. Now, they HAVE definitely interfered with the way WE live our lives. They have killed hundreds of innocent people in this country. It is time for the "Good old USA" to "interfere" with these animals. It is fact we can't reason with them. They have pledged to fight to the death to destroy us. I think we must take them on. If we do, some of us will die in the attempt. If we don't, we will all die slowly anyway. I was born after WW-II, and I was in the USAF during Vietnam. This is very different. Like WW-II, there is no doubt that what we are doing is justified. Perhaps it is more complex, but our cause is just. You can like or dislike, agree or disagree with GW's "simplistic" explanation for what's happening, but at least he says what he means and means what he says. That's a refreshing change from the Clinton "Era".
