And, if that don't work, as a last resort, try a pair of gloves.

Hay folks,
Ran into an old problem while working on the F-105 project. As usual
while breaking loose and removing the Hydraulic lines I got a lot of
hydraulic fluid on my hands. Same old problem with it that I had in the
Air
Force. After a couple of days of this my hands would start cracking and
bleeding. This is due to me having some sort of reaction to additives in
the
Mil Spec Fluid. I had to resort to and old cure that has never failed and
thought it my be practical to pass along to those that experience the same

thing with various fluids. This works over night in most cases.

First wash your hands very well with an appropriate de-greasing hand soap.

Then soak the affected area in Hydrogen peroxide, this is not so much a
disinfecting step but more of an Oxygen therapy step. After the peroxide
has
worked for several minutes wipe, don't wash, it off. Then apply a liberal
coating of "Corn Huskers Lotion" to the hand, don't rub it in just apply a

thick film. Then put a surgical glove on it and go to bed. In the morning
remove the glove and rub in any remaining lotion. You will find that the
hand is back to near normal, or at least very close and that the cracks
have
already started to heal and don't bleed any more. If it is very severe it
may take a second night but not normally.

Hope this helps some folks out with skin irritations from petroleum
products, has worked great for me for over 25 years.
