Hello Coupers,I got achance to do a nearly end of the year Oil change, just b4 the suck weather hit us here in Northern Ill.I'm hoping that we get a few nice days b4 the real suck weather comes.I change the Oil every 25 hrs or so-- cheap maintenance.I have about 50 hrs on my rebuild or so this is the 3rd change. The first change was soon after the rebuild and I used Phillips breakin OIl for the recommended time. Now I use 20- 50 X -country per the shop that did the rebuild.Pressures are fine -temps look good.So far so.......I have one comment regarding the main fuel tank problem that I had..It appears that the RIVETS corroded----- the tank is fine, I think Now I need to fix this too as I replaced it with another tank.I HATE to dismantle the darn thing as it really is fine.Just the sum,p drain fitting is the problemo.Any ideas that don't revolve around taking this tank apart.I have some PRC and some cherry max.Ican't get the screen out of the banjo fitting as the are mating and I can't get them apart. What is the next step?? AND does this proposed AD mean putting add'l inspection plates in the belly---- how many--where exactly .It wouldn't be a bad Idea to have a couple more drain holes underneath too or enlargen the few that we have now. Pretty soon we will whistle as we fly by like blowing over a Coke bottle. What's that sound?
