If you mean take off shorter, fly faster or use less fuel, then the Stromberg is every bit as good as the Marvel (assuming, of course, that each is in good working condition). If "better" means a mixture control that any Cherokee driver can understand, then I guess the Marvel is better. If "better" means "more expensive" then the Marvel is way better. Marvels for C85s are as rare as hen's teeth. The easiest way to get one is buy the STC from Lowe Aviation to convert an O200 carb for use on a C85. I love my Stromberg!
