The suggestion was made a while back that these "truth tellers' are really coupe fans trying to scare off prospective buyers so as to keep the prices low. Or, better yet, drive them even lower. I've done a fair amount of information searching about the coupe. (With the hope of someday owning one.) I've heard some bad, and a whole lot of good. Seems to me if you're careful about the airframe you buy, and learn to fly it correctly, the Ercoupe is one hell of a plane. Even without the JATO bottles. Now, after finally getting some time in one a few weeks back, I'm sure of it. Truth Tellers aren't always what they claim to be.
