Ron,
It will not take months. It is very easy. On the Ercoupe you won't be
stitching so it should be a joke. I just starting covering a Pietenpol
wing
yesterday and thus far I have the covering on there, using the cement
seams
method, and I have the right one about 1/3 stitched. I have been working
evenings so you see it will go so amazingly fast. Probably you should
just
buy envelopes for it rather than piecing it together. My biggest problem
on
covering, besides the stitching that is, has been forming the tapes down
around curves, but this is much less a problem on wings than fuselages.
Don't
skimp on the Poly-Spray either, if you are using the system) I hate to see
people try that. I would recommend Aerothane on them as my 20 year old
Aerothane looks almost brand new. The Ercoupe wing makes about the best
that
you will ever see, most people who don't know about planes think mine are
metal. It is much harder to get the old covering off them than to recover
them! Glen
