Today had to be one of the best days of my life with the exception of the day I married my wife and the birth of my two children. We finaly got the plane up in the air about ten feet today while doing high speed passes on the runway. We are taking it a little slow on going up and flying the pattern, we want to make sure everything is running as intended without leaks or any thing else that could go wrong. We got the plane back in May 1999, it was dismantled and in boxes when we bought it. We stripped all the paint off and repainted it, fixed some wing spar corrosion, installed new control cables, new winshield,all new wiring, and interior (interior still needs a little more work). The engine had already been rebuilt but we did have to rebuild the magnetos and install new baffling and scat hose. It turned out better than we could of ever hoped for. Wish us luck on the rest of our runups and tests, we hope to start flying around with the rest of our ercoupe buddies. Tim
