Hi, I was wondering if anybody knows any rough numbers for the amount of
play
in the connecting rods, I mean the amount that you can wiggle the rod fore
and
aft. I can't find any mention of it in the manual! I got my first
cylinder
off today thanks to your advice (without breaking anything) but I am a
little
hesitant to bang on the pin with a drift as I don't want to damage
anything
and I don't want to aggravate the play in the connecting rod.
Unfortunately I
can't get the plugs out and I suppose I may have the pressed in type of
plugs
so I will have to knock the pins out. The play in the rod is about 1/16"
at
the end of the rod at the moment. I am a little suspicious but then I
always
am. Thanks, Glen Ward
