I agree, The CD-ROM helped me too. I scored 97% on my written. The King videos WERE a bit dull, but you could play them over and they really helped to fill in some of the gaps left by my CFI. I would recommend them to any new student pilot.

I did use the King Video and it was OK. What really helped me on the
written was the King CD ROM test prep. I just went over the questions
(in the actual computer format) over and over until I didn't make any
mistakes. I scored 100% on the exam, so it worked for me. (The check
ride was another story).
