No problem this time. But multiple repetitions will result in multiple
facetiously broken fingers, but we'll do it in a friendly manner.

For my new cable modem, which I just got last week (brag), it was a
hiccup. With my dial-up telephone line modem, getting 3.0 kB/sec
download, it would have been an extra three minutes before I could read
my mail.

With 350 members on the list, it's likely that 10 or 30 would find it
awkward to receive such a download on any random day.

A review for the general group: It's great to distribute things like
this and big, high resolution pictures if you post them on your
website. Then e-mail us the URL (URL means web address -- Universal
Resource Locator). Hint: if you write the entire URL including the http
part, with many browsers we can just click on the address and our
browser will go get it while we continue to read our mail. For example:
http://www.flash.net/~dmprosvc/dave/whybuy.htm

As always, executable attachments (.exe or .com files) may contain
viruses and I guarantee I will delete them unopened.

Sorry to be so long winded. Just wanted to let you know that we ain't
mad, it's a friendly thing to share a newly found treat like that. Yet
I wanted to let everyone (who hasn't been around this block before) know
why we don't want to include big attachments (or executable programs) in
postings, especially to e-mail lists.
