I have been on the Ercoupe list for some time but have not contributed anything because I am just visiting to gain knowledge about Coupes. I owned a Skyhawk until 1997 when I had to sell it. I would like to get back into flying in the next couple of years and have an interest in owning an Ercoupe, I have liked their appearance since I was a little kid. Following
your tech talk and comments has convinced me it would be a good investment. Does anyone know of an Ercoupe in the Chicagoland area that I could look at up close to see what they are really like, I have seen them at Oshkosh but never got to examine the inside. There is one tied down at DuPage County Airport but I have never seen it move. If there is an Ercoupe fly in anywhere around the Chicagoland or central Illinois area please let me know as I would like to come and gawk.
