Thanks everyone who responded to my question about the fuel smell in my Ercoupe. I have already replaced the seals on the wing tank gauge, and checked the venting, but the primer check has not been done. I will give that a try first and then the lines between the tanks that I haven't been able to see yet. The odor is very strong right now as I have pulled the wings in order to get the plane into my garage at home for replacement of the windshield and instrument panel. In fact it is so strong my attached house is beginning to smell like gas. The odd thing is that there was no smell at all two days ago when I brought it home. I'll let everyone know what I find.
