I guess I wasn't too clear in my post. I was more interested in the possibility of taking a C or D elevator and reworking it to the E configuration. Ron Burke mentioned he had heard something along this line and I was trying to see if there is such a possibility.
I think an E elevator is close to $1000 which is out of my price range right now.
