The switches used are notoriously flaky and not too easy to change. Oils and dirt from your hands as well as moisture work their way into the vertically mounted innards and corrode the contacts. Perhaps the "dude" knows you'll balk at the $20 for the switch and an hour's labor to change it. > But it could still be just that the battery is charged up, and > will soon uncharge.
