Jack, I hadn't thought of doing a search for everyone in the area. I did think about the Directory of coupers published by the Ercoupe Owners Club, but then I decided that this would only work if the coupers were on email. However, I suspect there are coupers on email who don't always monitor the mailing list, so a phone call or card after conducting a search would probably increase my email group. I don't know if my madness will result in a method for increasing group fly-abouts, but certainly email lends itself to increasing the joy of GA among weekend pilots. I think that is the idea behind Regional chapters of the EOC, but until now, it was always a lot of work for one or two people which often ended in frustration. With email, the Regional leader is only one instigator; anyone and everyone on an email list can initiate an idea and email to the rest of the people on the list. That should result in a variety of activities to chose from every weekend if the entire list participates. I would like to see the USPA (U.S. Pilot's Assocation) and/or the local state chapters (eg, the Missouri Pilot's Association) put up a calendar and posting section for its members so that there is a dedicated web site in each state that all fly-in organizers will list their event, and local pilots will post what they want to do, or intend to do, over a given weekend. That would give pilots an option based on their preference of places and people to commune with. Thanks for the suggestion.
Ken Doyle Springfield, Mo Alon N5477E <Jack Wrote:> When I was trying to get a mailing list together for our Golden State Coupers I found that you can do a search on Landings.com for all of the names and addresses of Coupe owners in your state.
