I should note here an addition to your suggestion to have a look-see
inside the wing tank screens.
If you remove the aft outer screws of the wing fillet... the ones
closest to the main gear leg, you have sufficient room to flap down the
wing
root fillet and can access the "banjo fitting". I did this just recently
on
one side... only after I'd already pulled the fairing on the other side.

it when that happens.... grumble grumble grumble
