Is this the correct forum to ask about the potential for a fire if the mechanical fuel pump ruptures in the middle and sprays fuel onto the engine. If anyone has experienced this with or without a fire would appreciate hearing from them. I noticed a small drops of moisture on my windscreen during taxi on a clear day. Inspection with the engine running saw fuel streaming from the fuel pump onto the prop, back onto the engine and windscreen. Needless to say, back to the hangar and a call to the mechanic.
