Thanks for all the quick responses! First Ercoup flight in 1959, came home again to the aircraft in 1999. I have a friend who allows me to fly his Ercoup around the DFW area. I will have the original tail number soon, the current tail number is 433A, this aircraft is supposed to be pictured as a
reindeer somewhere in the Coup www pages, however now it is olive drab, looks like a little A-10 Warthog. Man what fun! I fly in jet fighters sometimes with my friends, but the Ercoup is much more fun! I also own the business seen at www.aircombatschool.com jet fighter simulation company. FYI about one month ago on taxi out in the Coup, I noticed small drops of moisture on the windscreen, turned out to be fuel as the mechanical fuel pump had ruptured and was spraying a large amount of fuel onto the engine and prop. I shut her down and have had it repaired. One way to tell is blue residue on the back of the prop after shutdown if using 110LL. Anyone with a similar event know of an inflght fire as a result of a similar event? Sounds like a real reason to go to an electric pump operated only as needed. Great to be a part of a fun group of folks, Ed Bandy Arlington, Texas. __________________________________________________________________________ ______ To unsubscribe from this list please send mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] _________________________________________________________ Enlighten your in-box. http://www.topica.com/t/15
