I would not worry about it.  Chances are, if it is like a lot of Ercoupes,
there is not record of the serial number on the old instrument and the
tags
are long gone.  Replace it with one that looks similar and nobody will
ever
know the difference.  There is absolutely nothing to doing it.  Glen Ward
