Hi All, Just a note to say I am sorry to have not been able to see you all at Porterville. Had a late start out of Escondido Friday afternoon. (Work) So a side trip passed Porterville was out of the question. Arrive San Jose just before midnight. (Driving Sucks) Talked to Charlie Eck Saturday morning. And he was kind enough to ask me to go flying with him. 6547Q is a nice Alon and soon we were flying down the valley south of SJ down to Gilroy and Holister. First time I have had a change to look around down there. Most of the time I am down there I am busy flying. Ceiling was low and there was more traffic than I have ever seen along the 101. After putting 47Q away he and I had a coffee. And talked Ercoupes and life in general. Charlie has been with EOC and the California Wing for a number of years.
And is a down right nice fellow. If you get a change to talk to him I think you'll agree. See you at Watsonville for sure.
