Greg, John, & Ken, I know you guys are semi-serious with your rubber duckies and mouse trap fingers, but you are so funny!
I have one other suggestion. A friend at work says that he has been successful at keeping all species of birds out of his fruit trees. He makes mobiles out of old CD's. He claims that the flashing reflections off of the CD's scares the birds and they don't get used to it. Sounds like it's worth a try. Besides I like the environmental aspect of finding another use for the CDs we have messed up in our lab.
