You guys who keep talking about the Luscombe folks ought to look at their page and how much those parts list for. Personally, I doubt their ability to actually deliver some of those parts in a timely manner. Their prices are right up there with Univair anyway. Airplanes which require certified parts are always going to cost big bucks. The Ercoupe will die out slowly, replaced by kit type homebuilts which people can afford. Only the few folks with money or skills (preferably both) will keep theirs going. It is a fine deal if you ask me. 60 years old is plenty for an airplane. Besides, I suspect that it would take $500-1000 from each EOC member to be able to set up to make this stuff as well as buying the certificates. The Ercoupe unfortunately is not made so much of stock parts and materials as are some wood/tube planes. Univair does as well as any amateur user group organization would - probably better. How may of those parts do you think they sell in a year, anyway? Glen Ward
