Sorry unclear on the Responses to radio calls... Only the leader responds... the only response to a UNDERSTOOD call from the number 2, 3, etc. aircraft is there number. So number 2 would say "2", number 3 would wait to hear 2 than say "3", ect.
If ANYONE does not under stand the call, they would say "their number" and "repeat" please, after it is repeated by LEAD then down the chain we go only responding with there "number" Again formatting is not as simple as it sounds. but with practice it is a safe way to travel, in fact safer than a uncontrolled gaggle flight.
