If you come through Eugene, Oregon and land at Eugene (EUG) or Creswell (77S) airports, I could put you up for the night and provide transportation for you.
Let me know if this is part of your planned route and when. Creswell has 80 octane fuel.
As to the 2000 miles in year 2000. I plan on flying to Oshkosh via the northern route, Creswell, Ore to Lewiston, Idaho then to Montana, follow the northern highways to Oshkosh, then south of Chicago, to New York, around the Statue of Liberty, then head home. Plan on taking about 3 weeks including a week at Oshkosh.
Best of luck with your trip...................Mary

Subject: [COUPERS] 2000+ miles in 2000, help please

Coupers;    Now that we have gotten past the big T (tax) day, it is time to
plan our big trip. I plan to take our Coupe, N99387, and the 10 year old
grandson to the EOC convention the LONG way. We want to go from central
Florida to College Park, MD, via California and the Dakotas and request your
help in doing so. We need to know about such things as: where is the best
place in your area to get fuel, which airports have motels close by, which
airports would be a good place to stop and camp for the night, which towns
with airports have interesting places to visit, i.e. museums-parks-fun places
(10 year old), and best of all, which of you Coupers would like to meet us
and talk Coupes for a while? We have no planned route or schedule except for
being at the EOC convention. We will leave here in late May, after school is
out and hope to visit several of our national treasures such as the grand
canyon, Yellowstone and Glacier national parks, Mt. Rushmore, etc., on our
way to MD. We do expect to fly only in the early part of the day, and know
that there will be some days that we will not be able to fly due to weather.
We would greatly appreciate your help in accomplishing this, and hope to meet
many fellow Coupers along the way. Please feel free to correspond directly if
you so choose. Thank you.
