Help me with a puzzler.

A while back I bought a set of new yokes (complete with inserts!) that had
supposedly been on another 415.

In trying to mount them, I find that my 415 must be a bit
differently.configured.
The new yokes have front and rear holes which are the same size, the size
of the main portion of the control column. There is a single retaining
pin.

My old yokes seem to have the front hole like the new ones, but the old
ones have a larger hole in the rear and a bushing which increases the size
of the control column for about an inch and a half behind the yoke, and
also seems to serve as a stop to keep the yoke from ramming the panel.
There's a second retaining pin that seems to go through the rear yoke hub
and the bushing.

The parts and service manuals don't seem to illustrate this 'feature'
at all.

Are there different styles? Should I be trying to salvage the rear hub and
mate
it up with the new bits? Or have I gotten ahold of a generic yoke mated to
Ercoupe inserts?

As it is, it looks like we'll have to pull the control shaft and exercise
all sorts
of machinations to break apart the results of 50 years of being in place,
and corroding together...
