Here we go again. Strombergs are famous for dripping when shut down. The float valves tend to seap a little fuel. It doesn''t affect flying because the seap rate is less than the fuel burn rate at idle. I'm not saying you should ignore all fuel leaks, but there are lots of them out there that drip once an hour or so after they've been shut down, and closing the fuel valve is the most cost effective way to deal with it. It also makes sense even if you don't have a drip. If the float decides to sink while you're gone, all the fuel in the (header) tank will end up on the ground in short order.
