After seeing a fine article about the Ercoupe and then seeing several items on eBay, I bought a fine book entitled "The Ercoupe - A Touch of Class" by Frank Saletri, Esq.
I even saw a neat coupe for sale in Delaware, OH but I never got up enough nerve to contact the owner and I let it get away to Greg Bullough in NJ. Finally, I joined EOC even though I had never ridden in or ever sat in a coupe. I really enjoyed the newsletter and studied through several years of old issues. A recent issue had an ad for an Alon for sale in Indiana so I visited it during my spring break. Alas, it was just out of annual so I could not have a ride but I got to sit in it. I also had helpful contact with owner Jim Sullivan and Dean Henderson as he did the annual inspection and gave me pre-buy advice. This week, I broke down and bought N6363V, a beautiful 65 Alon A2, with a thunderbird styled paint job. Now, I'm excited about my soon upcoming first coupe ride. I've read about "Love at first flight" but in my case it was "love at first sight". Soon, school will be out and I can get her home. In the meantime, I enjoy my gallery of photos at www.hawken.edu/t3pdc __________________________________________________________________________ ______ To unsubscribe from this list please send mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ___________________________________________________________ T O P I C A The Email You Want. http://www.topica.com/t/16 Newsletters, Tips and Discussions on Your Favorite Topics
