Thanks to all who greeted me with such hospitality. I can already tell that this is a great list and there a lots of good folks here. Thanks also for all the insite and advice I have already recieved.
It looks like I might get a chance to "fly the 'coupe" in about a week or two. There is a '46 for sale at my home airport now. It is awaiting a new brake master cylinder (which was apparently not easy to get). I am based at 5W5 (Triple-W Airpark) which is just South of Raleigh, NC. I noticed that the Club was listed as an address in Durham, NC in my copy of the "Illustrated Used Plane Buyer's Guide". Is this still where the club is based? Seems like most of the coupe messages I see originate from the midwest or the west coast.
