You mean a vernier throttle wasn't stock? Mine has one. I just thought they came that way. I would think that spinning it as fast as you can would take about an hour to get to full throttle. I do like the verner control when making minor adjustments while in flight, but while on the ground it would seem much too slow a rate of change. Perhaps spin it until she's above 1000 rpm, and then push it in. By the way, I want a vernier control for my mixture control. Anyone out there got one installed? When flying, I'm always above 7000 ft. msl. I try to lean it with the standard push/pull, but it's too difficult to know where you are with the mixture. I do know that she runs better if leaned, and the mixture control certainly does work. I've heard all this about the mixture control being useless, but I know it works.
