Lex du Pont has an original unrestored F4-F3 Wildcat that he flys for fun. He has dead sticked it in once and threw a rod during runup the second time. He has owned the airplane since the 1950s and it still has the original paint and Jap bullet hole in the side. Lex says, Hell, anybody can restore one, but where can you find an ORIGINAL one! It is hangared at New garden airport in PA. He is a fellow QB and quite a character.
