I have been watching this now since it's start. I have not seen anyone
talk about the work that would be needed. # 1 First this airplane is not
like
a Cessna or Piper where you just remove the old tip and screw on a new
one. #
2 the cost of the STC plus the fly off of 400 hours. It aint going to
happen
fast. Repay will be slow in coming because. # 3 to install your going to
do a
bunch of engineering. Your cutting up a know wing and the FAA going to
want
to know, who, what and why. Replace with new square tip. Install your
unproved new tip and start your fly off. And don't forget you pen and
paper
you need to keep track of every thing.
I have pictures of a Coupe that I took one night when I passed through
Gallup, NM. It had the tips cut off and a fence made of plywood. It looked
like a flat tip tank. Wonder what ever happened to it. 94424
Now I know that answer was sold in Tempe, AZ. Put money the fence are
gone.
The reason that there is no tips for our airplane is the same reason
there are no vortex generators. No payback. But if some of you want to do
it
may the flying gods bless you. And do the generators too.
