Thank you plenty for the answer - especially during the effort of keeping
up with the owner maintenance issue. That is very interesting.

I bought the 1965 ALON Aircoupe from Jim Sullivan  at Greensburg, IN. Had
a delightful flight home on Memorial Day. I feel very satisfied after
buying a beauty after much study but never a ride in one!

The reason I asked about the gas caps is that I thought I could see gas
escaping early in the flight. The FBO filled the tanks up to much more
than "to about 1 inch from the top".
