The auto pump information is in Coupe Capers, December, 1993. The article has pictures and references to use. The author did some research into Chevy truck pumps, a Wisconsin V-4 pump from NAPA and a rebuild kit for '37-'48 Ford. The Capers article says ++NONE++ of these work as a direct replacement for the Ercoupe pump. What the author found was that it is possible to rebuild the Ercoupe pump using the Wisconsin pump top and, if needed, the Chevy truck pump diaphragm seal in the lower part. His article gives good information....the Best of which is, "you should have an A&P do the rebuild because the FARs say he can replace parts with equal to or better than parts and he can do the above legally if he wants to".
