I've been noticing some humor on this web site.  As a matter of
fact, some of you are starting to remind me of me.  This has got to
stop.  Any attempt to monitor altitude by dragging an old crescent
wrench on the end of a string should not be considered, unless the
disclaimer is attached "DO NOT USE THIS METHOD IN HIGHLY POPULATED
AREAS".  After all, while being a highly accurate method of measuring
altitude, it could also be hazardous to people on the ground.  So, while
this posting was somewhat humorous, it was also ill advised and
dangerous.
