Rich,

I am told that the walnut shells will work with just about any gun. I'll
know for sure this weekend however! My dad's gun is also the hopper fed
type and everyone says that it should work.

As for the belly skin- you know that by design the Ercoupe lets water
inside the fuselage, and mine has been sitting for 8 years outside. The
belly skin has a permanent water mark and I just dont know if there is
any corrosion between the lap joints or more importantly the center
section. I have looked at the center section with a mirror, but I plan
to remove the skin so I can blast the center section also, and epoxy
prime it. I do not plan to hangar this airplane, so I want to completely
water-proof the center section with the epoxy. Hangars around here are
about $250.00 a month. I'd rather just repaint my airplane every 4-5
years for 250.00!

Today I started rebuilding the landing gear- tons of fun!
