I don't know on what experience you base your obvious low opinion of police officers but I assure you the vast majority of us would lay down our lives to protect even you, a complete stranger, who has such a low opinion of us. I won't get into the discussion of gun control except to say guns don't kill people, people kill people. You are entitled to your opinion but I find your point of view very narrow. In my 21 years as a police officer I have found that the majority of people I come in contact with do not share your opinion. It just seems the few that talk the loudest make the headlines.
