I had an issue with my radio fading & cutting out which my AP figured out
was probably due to overheating; could that be an issue here? We found
that
there was an unused hole for venting fresh air onto the back of the radio.

A small hose & clamp later, all better.

What would make the radio fade? Even though turning on the landing
lights could exceed the generator output, the battery should more than
take
up the slack. The radios should be OK until the battery starts to run
low.
