I have the 35 amp gen. in my Coupe.  A while back I replaced my regulator
thinking it had gone bad.  Lee
at Skyport informed me that you have to have the correct regulator for the
generator output.  I bought
the new one, installed it, and then found out what I needed was a wire
reconnected to the master fuse
holder.  It'd been knocked off by the radio repairman.  So, yes you need
the correct regulator, and, I
have a good used one, or if you prefer, the new one, as both work and you
can have your choice.  Make me
an offer.
