A quick update in my quest for knowledge: I
passed my commercial (ASEL)
check ride Saturday. Sunday I passed the
Advanced Ground Instructor written,
and this morning I passed my CFI written. It has
been exhausting for an broken
down middle aged guy like me. I'm home for a few
days to recoop. Then it's
back to Brackett for the CFI check ride and my
Multi Commercial Instrument
rating.
I also enjoyed the "solo" story. I
think all of us will remember our "first time", for
the rest of our days. I had a similar feeling on
my first ILS approach in "hard IFR"
I hope I never lose the "edge of the seat,
adrenaline rush" that only flying gives.
If the head swelling gets any worse, only twins
will get me off the ground. That's
