It only takes 30 seconds to check the notes on the material sample chart
to 
determine what, if any, burn tests, or flame resistance the material has
met. 
Then when you purchase the material, have the vendor annotate the sales 
receipt with the P/N of the material and the appropriate burn resistance.
It 
doesn't cost any more, you still get the cheap interior, and you have a
paper 
trail that the A & P/IA can use to document the interior as being legal.
The 
last one I did, I made up an interior out of KYDEX (a 4' X 8' sheet cost
$60) 
and the paper trail showed that it met the FAR 25 burn requirements for
part 
121. Overkill, yes, but the FAA inspector did not hesitate to sign the 337

either.
