So according to them, even the recreatational pilot certificate is "too restrictive." Obviously they want to drop pilots licenses to the level of drivers licenses. Here they don't even make you even get out on the road, just once around the DMV parking lot. The proposal's sub-category licenses are the most rediculous thing I think I have ever read. Nothing but custom licenses so that nobody has to do 1 thing more than they absolutely have to. Surely the FAA will not spring for such a thing. They want to grandfather in a bunch of the ultralight crowd. I have seen some of these people and they don't need grandfathered into any license, they some regular flight training from a regular CFI. I am so glad that we have the EAA to try and destroy aviation as we know it and turn it into a bunch of morons with riding lawmowers with wings >sorta< attached. Glen Ward
