----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- In a pinch it is easy to take the distributor case off and disconnect the wires, if an Eisemann's what you've got. I used to be able to time my left mag with a voltmeter and nothing disconnected or anything. Only a few hours later it went out. Bad condensor made it possible to time it that way. I was so stupid that that when I first realized I couldn't time the right one with a volt meter, I took IT apart and started trying to figure out what was the matter with it! I am now all up on magnetos, though. Glen Ward
