I have the exact same problem. My venturi will produce 8plus inches but 
with the gyro hooked up it drops to 4.5in. Horizon works on take off and 
progressively goes goofy. Mine woked fine flat on the seat or floor but 
not in the panel! I am having the unit rebuilt now, the second time in 
two yrs.  Craig 2623H
