Good Morning Everyone,
Happy Thanksgiving Day to you all. Hi Paul and Andy, I sure wish I
knew how to guaranty good
weather for Independence on Sunday but I overloaded my magic wand for the
Walker fly-in and got such
perfect weather that week-end that my wand died. So, I guess we'll just
have to wait until Sunday
morning and look out the window like the professional 'weather guessers'
do.
I'll be there in the "Green Caddy Express" as usual.
Neither rain nor ice, nor fog nor snow,
can keep the Caddy away from the show".
The only similarity between this poem and Thanksgiving is that they
are both 'Turkeys'. ; - )
Percy is our co-ordinator with the Independence EAA and I sent him a
reminder last night to contact
them and be sure they don't forget that we were coming so we should get an
excellent 'tour' of the
facility.
I suppose most of you read Joa's report on his visit there last
Saturday. Consider that a 'sneak
preview' of what you'll see next Sunday. Except now you'll get to 'see' it
instead of just reading about
it.
Let's have a real good turnout and maybe they will invite us back
again later on to see their
progress on this huge endeaver. There's a lot more to this story than, Joa
or I, have told you. You'll
hear about it Sunday during the tour, how you could be able to own one of
these excellent replicas of
history.
Joa, if you know about that part of it, don't tell anyone. Llet that
be a secret until they explain
it to everyone on Sunday. Any chance that you can make it over there again
this Sunday? (Weather
permitting, of course) I haven't seen you since the Air Races in Reno.
Don't anyone eat so much today that you'll 'overgross' your coupe on
Sunday. I hope to see a lot of
you at "Annies" Restaurant (1:00 pm) for lunch prior to the tour.
