Hi Jim; Welcome to the Coupe community. There are several people around the US who can help you buy a good Coupe. It would help greatly if we knew where you are located, is it Arizona by chance? I am in Frostproof, FL and have some experience working on Coupes. Our Technical advisor, John Wright Sr., located in Springfield, IL, and there are very knowledgeable people on both the East and West coast. There is an excellent checklist put together by Ed Burkhart, who used to be the editor of Coupe Capers, on what to inspect on an annual inspection. If your/your mechanic follow that, it will go a long way towards ensuring you are buying a solid Coupe. The checklist used to be under Articles at ercoupers.com, but I only got a blank page when I tried to open it just now. It may have been moved to the Coupe Club home page. Let us know where you are located, and hopefully, someone will come up with the answer on the checklist.
