advice in this forum.]----

Hi Ric,
Welcome to the "Wonderful World of Coupes"! Your Illinois Wing
Leader is Don Mack. He lives in
New Lenox and I have two phone numbers for him and two e-maill addresses.
I'm not sure which are current
but here they are:
        phone numbers..... 815-485-0062 and 630-382-4609
        e-mail addresses... <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Also, may I suggest that you join the "Ercoupe Owners Club" (EOC)
which is the parent club. We have
members all over the world and this is the 'Hub' which ties us all
together, as does this internet list.

If you are interested in joining EOC, contact Carolyn Carden at:
            Ercoupe Owners Club
            7263 Schooners Ct SW A-2
            Ocean Island Beach, NC 28469-5644

The cost is $25 per year and you'll recieve a new members packette and
then a monthly magazine.
This is in addition to your local (state) wing. I don't know how
active they are or what the cost is
to keep the newsletters coming each month for your local area. You'll
have to contact Don Mack for that
information.

As for the wheel pants for your coupe, there are lot's of catalogs out
there with about anythng you
could ever dream of wanting. The two main companies that support Ercoupes
are

Univair (Ercoupe Type Holder) Call Mark at
1-888-433-5433
Skyport Services (another good source) Call Lee at 1-800-624-5312

Both companies have many manuals available for service, parts,
operations, STC's, etc for the
coupes. I suggest you order a complete set of manuals for your coupe as
they are very informative and
will answer most all of your questions with the correct information.
This internet list has hundreds of members and thousands of hours of
experience and information.
However, every question you ask will bring you several different answers.
So which one is correct? They
may 'all' work, but which one is best and/or legal? This is where the
mauals will back you up along
with all the information that is available here on the internet. The final
decision is yours to make.

Again, welcome to "Coupedom" and I hope you have many happy flights in
your newly aquired Ercoupe.
